Carry's Photography: 2011

This is a Project I wasn't sure i wanted to do. Not because it is about myself but because of the fact that I barely have the time to keep up with the 52 week project. And also that this Project seems to be a lot of blogging. And since English is not my first language I was super scared in failing big time.
Then I thought, what the heck, I just give it a try and well now.... Here I'm

Day 14 "I have grown"

well in so many ways. And i hope to grow even more, specially in Photography...
Now i just hope to be able to be a part of the next Project.. =)

Day 13 "I love that I'm"

German.... =P I'm sure my hubby agrees on that one... He loves the German food I make and the country in general. I never really thought about it to much, but when we moved to the UK in 2006 I realized how much I really love my country. I guess you take a lot for credit until someone takes it away from you. I made the mistake and walked by the Porta Nigra or Kaisertherme (Trier/Germany) without seeing the beauty in it.
Same with the food. There is nothing better than fresh German bread, the yummy pastries or a real Sauerbraten with Sauerkraut.
I'm glad and proud of the fact that my kids get to grow up (well for a few years at least) in Germany, that they have a chance to experience Kindergarten and everything else ....
It will be really hard for me to leave my country for a second time in 2015.

Day 12 "When i grow up"

I want my kids to be able to say that they had a great childhood.
My childhood wasn't the best... Don't wanna get into to much detail. My parents (now separated) where always fighting, yelling or screaming. We barely did Family trips at sometime. Bavaria was our highlight once a year till me and my sis grew a little older. Then they completely stopped doing stuff as a family.
So I do my best to give my kids the childhood i never had.

Day 11 "My Inspiration"

My Inspiration is the good ole Internet... No matter what i look for, i find it on the web. Without the I-net i wouldn't know how to crochet, wouldn't be able to get free Patterns, i prob. still wouldn't know how to handle my Canon 7D ....

Day 10 " I need to change"

That will def. be my Arachnophobia, it really starts to interfere with my daily life. Before I step into a room I will check corners and walls for spiders and will only use the Vacuum or the hubby to get rid of them.

Smaller spiders don't bother me much but as soon as they grow bigger (1 Euro piece size is already to big for me to handle)

I remember a few days back where a spider was just sitting next to my bed and just when i was about to get my shoe it was taking off in a unbelievable speed. I had a super hard time to fall asleep, let me tell you, the thought of the spider crawling over me while sleeping was super scary.

That would be something i would love to change.

Day 9 "My alter Ego"
That would be the little kid inside me.

She is this little girl that doesn't wanna do grown up stuff, that still enjoys Cartoons on TV and loves to play Board games....

While on the outside I have to be the grown up mom to my two little kids. That doesn't mean that I don't snuggle up on the couch with my kiddos to watch "Bibbi Blocksberg" =P

Day 8 "(not so) black and white"

I tend to put on a brave face. Which means I appear to be happy while I would rather hide somewhere to have a good cry.
But isn't it the same with pretty much everybody? We have to appear strong for our children, to make them feel secure. Isn't this what comes first???
What we should never forget though is to NOT keep those feelings bottled up. It is not healthy, trust me... I know what I'm talking about. Had to learn it the hard way....

Day 7 "Business and Pleasure"

That would be crocheting Newborn Photo Props for me... I just love it ....

Day 6 "My favorite fairy tale"

Always loved this fairy tale and love the message behind it even more...
"It's on the inside that counts" You should NEVER judge a person from there appearance. Get to know the person first and then decide if you like him/her or not...

Day 5 "Apple of my eye"

First i though easy as pie, my kids of course. Then i thought again outside of the box and "my Apple of my eye" is life in general. It is just so super precious and i will never understand y a lot of people take it for credit. Because it is not. Open your eyes, go out there, look around.... Isn't life beautiful....?

And never forget it is what you make out of it and you only have one. So start living today... =)

Day 4 "My biggest mistake"

This Bull stands for everybody that thought bullying me as a teenager because of me not being cool enough or my family's status was fun ....

What's that got to do with my biggest mistake you ask.... ?

That i actually let them, that i let them push me around, let them make fun of me, let them laugh at me or even let them beat me up. I almost broke up school, because I was too scared to even get to the bus station.
Well let me tell you that I wish i could go back in time, with the knowledge that I have now. I would not have any of that "Bull"shit.

Day 3 "Me in one Object"
I picked this picture,

its the Little People Farm that my kids play with a lot. I picked it because I'm a country girl all the way to the bone. I grew up in a small village, surrounded by woods, fields and wineyards. I do love animals and dream of having a farm myself one day. There is only one slight Problem, I would be unable to sell them out to butchers. Animals turn into special family members really quickly. For me at least.

I do love country music and just enjoy the country side. Even though there are a lot of spiders and poop smells involved. The last usually doesn't bother me much at all. I remember when i was a kid and my parents would go onto farm vacations with me and my little sister... lol I specially remember that it was always me staying with the cows and pigs all day. I had a blast and loved caring for those animals, the farmer even showed me how to milk a cow and let me feed the Calfs with a bottle.

I'm just glad i didn't really understand how they would end up at some point.

I would never be happy living in a bigger city or city in general. This is way I'm hoping for our USA Assignment in a few years to be somewhere in the middle of nowhere.

Probably a nightmare to most but i would love it.

Day 2 "I'm influenced by...."
This was even tougher then the first day.... A lot of people had influence in my life at some point, a lot of situations and people made me who I am. Some of them in a good and a lot of them in a bad way.
But in the end I have to say that my husband was having and still has the most influence on me.
He always believes in me, encourages me to keep trying when i wanna give up, he never lets me down, supports me always, he taught me how to trust and how it feels to be truly loved.
I consider myself super lucky to have such an awesome husband and father for my girls.

Day 1 will be about my best trait and I thought super hard about this for really long. That's y I'm a whole day late. lol
But this morning it just hit me ... My best trait is "loyalty"
Due to my past it won't be easy to win my heart completely but once you have it I'm the most loyal person you can have on your side. Always there when you need me, always putting the people I love most before my own needs.

I choose this picture, because Benny (the family dog of my parents) is the most loyal dog I know.
Once his heart opens to you he will never ever let you down.
